Come on and give it a go

The Sunshine Statesmen are always looking for new members. We have an annual membership drive but you don’t have to wait till then, come along to a Wednesday night meeting and we will have you singing before the night is over.

Singing at Twin Waters 2008

We will discover if your voice is best suited to singing as a tenor, lead, baritone or bass. You will be provided with the words and music for the songs we are singing and some training in the techniques that will help you to get more out of singing with us. We will guide you through learning the songs that make up our repertoire and get you socialising with everyone at the same time.After joining the chorus we will arrange to get you fitted with our current performance costumes. Once you have practised with us for a while you may feel ready to come with us to your first public sing out. That’s a lot of fun.

If you want to take it further you can eventually participate in competitions, become part of a quartet or a section leader. And then who knows, with some study you could go on to be a Musical Director!
